Postponed: Kumbululuka kwa Bafana - The Children’s Flight Zambia

Unfortunately, we understand that this great event is postponed to next year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Founded by commercial pilot Felix Gosher, the Children’s Flight initiative began in 2016 at Grand Central Airport, Midrand, South Africa with the aim of giving underprivileged children the unique opportunity to fly with the pilots of our community and beyond.

The Zambia event is being organized for 2nd May, 2020, at KKIA at Zambezi Hangars, and already has massive support pledged from the aviation community, including the ZCAA, ZAF, ZACL, GATCOZ, private aircraft owners and commercial operators, and the Zambian business community as a whole. The event is pure charity - all aircraft, fuel, services, shirts, caps, food, beverages, and entertainment are being donated by the event’s supporters. Beneficiary children are selected from below the poverty index, the really poor, the disabled, the abused and the abandoned. This is their day with Aviation and Music.

The AOOA wishes Felix and his teams every success with this exceptional initiative.
